Sustainability Statement

A Zero Waste Company

The Front Range Catering Company is committed to zero waste, using compostable plates, flatware and cups as a 'standard' at all of our functions when not using china, stainless and glassware. In addition to providing compostable serveware, we provide receptacles for compostables at our offsite functions to ensure proper handling and to complete the next step in the composting process.

In house, we collect food scraps from our preparation process and any unwanted returns on a daily basis. Combined with the compostable serviceware, we deliver anywhere from 250 to 450 pounds of compostable material a week to the Boulder City Waste Drop Off Center.

The Front Range Catering Company also has a recycleing program for cardboard, paper, glass, plastics, and metals. To further demonstrate our values of helping the environment and community, we allow a neighboring bakery and rental kitchen for farmer's market vendors to use our recycling program at no charge. We recycle approximately 120 cubic feet of these items a week.

Sustainabilty

The Front Range Catering Company is committed to the environment, as well as to the community and clients who have made us a successful company. We use locally grown and organic vegetables, grains, and fruits as much as possible. Using the freshest, highest quality foods in our preparations makes for the tastiest dishes and menus. For example, when preparing menus with meat, we use 'natural' certified meat products such as 'Boulder Valley Natural Beef,' beef that's raised in the Rocky Mountain Region by ranchers committed to the humane treatment of animals: no antibiotics, no growth hormones, and no animal by-products in the feed. Never. Just a natural diet of grass, hay, corn, alfalfa, oats and barley. Premium quality and natural.

We are committed ABC - Always Buy Colorado as our first source.
